LBA Saints Day

Now that the season is winding down, this would be a great time enjoy LBA Day at St. Paul Saints. Enjoy some old fashioned tailgating and watch the Saints take on the Lincoln Salt Dogs on Sunday, August 15th at 1:05 p.m. at Midway StadiumClick on the link purchase discounted tickets! Senior Babe North Team

The Lakeville North Senior Babe baseball team recently participated in the Midwest Regional Senior Babe Tournament in Wellington, KS.  They earned a berth in this tournament by beating Eastview in the Minnesota State Senior Babe Ruth tournament last weekend in Eden Prairie.  After going 3-0, the team lost two hard-fought games in the finals to a team from Ottumwa, Iowa.  They had a fantastic tournament! The members of the team are:  Collin Barry, Evan Cordell, Keenan Flynn, Chris Grambling (Arkansas), Alex Hanneman, Ben Hayes, Jordan Kath, Kerry Ledin, Sam Meidl, Preston Otterson, Brett Piekarski, Anthony Reme, Blake Roseen, and Ty Sjoberg.  The coaches of the team are Tyler Judkins and Jared Simon.

FALL BALL OPTIONS

There are several options available to play baseball this fall. 
 
1) LBA FALL BASEBALL
The Fall Baseball Program offers double headers on Sundays only.  It is designed to extend the baseball season for players in 1st through 7th grade that want to continue playing after the regular season is done. The teams are typically made up of a blend of house and traveling players. An effort is made to make sure that team talent levels between teams are balanced. The following will be the levels for the fall baseball season (Please note that the grades that are listed are the grades for the 2010-11 school year)
 
  • 1st Grade (Coach Pitch)
  • 2nd & 3rd Grades 
  • 4th & 5th Grades
  • 6th & 7th Grades
  • Note:  if each grade level gets enough players, we will split the grades up
To cancel your registration, submit request to email address below.  All refunds are subject to a $25 cancellation fee.  No refund requests will be accepted after 8/22/10.

The fall baseball season starts Sunday, August 22nd (practice day) and ends Sunday, October 3rd.  Double headers are played every Sunday (except Labor Day Weekend). The Sunday schedules may range from games beginning at 10 am through 4 pm. The registration fee is $85 per player.  Included in this year's fee every family will receive a Click Club USA discount card.  If a family registers more than one player there will be a $20 discount for each additional child registered.

LBA Fall Baseball - Important Dates
  • July 5th - Fall Baseball registration online begins (Click on "Register Online" on left side of page)
  • August 15th – Fall baseball registration online ends
  • August 18th – Coaches notify players of team assignments
  • August 22nd – Fall baseball practice day
  • August 29th - Fall baseball games begns
  • September 5th – No baseball (Labor Day Weekend)
  • October 3rd – Last day of fall baseball

2) METRO BASEBALL LEAGUE
Metro Baseball offers a fall league that plays double headers on Sundays.  You are playing teams from other communities and will likely need to play some games away from Lakeville.  Players can register individually and MBL will assign you a team, or a group can form their own team and register as a complete team.  Players can be from house, travel, or even mixed with other communities.  Players "play up" to next years rules.  If you were a a 10 yr old this year (4th grade) you would be playing the 11 yr old rules (5th grade) in fall ball.

The MBL fall baseball league is for players ages 10-18. In this league players will play double headers every Sunday from September 12 through October 10

3) Gopher State/USSSA Fall Baseball League 
Gopher State Baseball offers a fall league that plays double headers on Sundays.  You are playing teams from other communities and will likely need to play some games away from Lakeville.  This league tends to have a lot of Northern suburb teams and involves longer drivess  Players can register individually and Gopher State will assign you a team, or a group can form their own team and register as a complete team.  Players can be from house, travel, or even mixed with other communities.  Players "play up" to next years rules.  If you were a 10 yr old this year (4th grade) you would be playing the 11 yr old rules (5th grade) in fall ball.
