Game Announcer & Scorekeeper
Volunteer Description: The game announcer and scoreboard volunteer positions are a critical element to the Miracle League game. The game announcer is responsible for the introduction of the team before the game, the Color Guard / National Anthem singer (when applicable), and each individual player when they come up to bat. The scorekeeper is responsible for turning on the electronic scoreboard, and keeping the score up to date throughout the game. The game announcer and scorekeeper also work together to play music using a supplied pre-recorded Ipod before and during the game. Each volunteer pair will work together for eight games as listed below. Children must be at least 12 years old to be eligible. Responsible children who show up on time each week and make the game a fun expreience for the players will be offered a character reference letter from the Miracle League Director describing your volunteerism.
