6th/ 7th Grade Baseball program is for kids in 6th or 7th grade for the 2019/20 school year, this program works at the steady progression building each year on the basic fundamentals into a more advanced play. Practices and/or games are held twice per week. Occasionally an extra day is available for additional instruction or scrimmages as deemed by the Coaches, Level Coordinator and/or Director. Please note that request for specific nights are not available in our community program. We will make every attempt to make the nights consistent, but there will be games and practices on a variety of evenings to provide a variety of competition. Each team will consist of 12 players.
**Grade 6th/ 7th will be joined together and will play games against Farmington and Northfield Baseball leagues, grades 6th/ 7th. Practices will be held in Lakeville and games will be played in Lakeville, Farmington, Northfield and possibly other associations. Both League Tournaments will be held in Lakeville at King Fields and will include teams from Lakeville, Farmington and Northfield.
For this grade level, there will NOT be a player evaluation day or a player draft. Teams will be selected by the Level Coordinator and League Director. There will be no special requests for player placement on teams or with certain coaches. The only requests honored will be siblings being placed on the same teams. Coaches may still request to coach together, with a maximum of 3 per team. Coaching requests are not guaranteed, and may not be honored if teams are not covered.

All parents interested in coaching, please consider volunteering your time to help coach your childs team this year. You don't have to be a baseball expert, but should have some basic baseball knowledge. Each team needs 3 coaches - one head coach and two assistant coaches.
