South Traveling, along with North Travel has outsourced its uniforms to “The Sports Source” in Lakeville. This was done to save LBA, and most importantly you money while giving the players better uniforms and the option not to buy a new uniform each year. The cost savings will be realized by you the parent over the course of the next baseball season.
Please note that your registration fee has been lowered, as the uniform fee has been removed from the payment you make to LBA for your childs' participantion. It is now, however, your responsibility to provide a uniform for each of your children participating in South Travel baseball. You are required to purchase the complete uniform directly from “The Sports Source” in Lakeville. The cost will be approximately $100 not including any fanwear or additional items you may wish to purchase.

Unlike the North uniforms, participants in the South program will NOT have the choice to select a number. The reason for this is the difference in processing that our two uniforms undergo. Numbers will be assigned after the tryouts are complete and you will receive your uniform number assignment just as you have in the past.
Once a player is assigned a number, this is the number that they will keep for the remaining years they participate in LBA Traveling baseball. If a participant takes a year off from baseball and then returns to the travel program, they will retain that originally assigned number. Numbers for South jerseys will run between 1-59, as does the North program.
The item to note for parents/teams who typically place names on the backs of jerseys and hats each season, this is no longer allowed. If you as a coach or parent decide to place names on jerseys of your team members, you personally run the risk of purchasing 12 new jerseys for the players next season.
Based on the quality of the uniforms that LBA has selected, it is expected these items will last 2-3 years with proper care. Players using the uniform in following years need only purchase replacement items which are damaged or lost.
Personal sizing and ordering of uniforms will be completed at the “The Sport Source” store located at 7672 160th Street in Lakeville 952-388-1616. Directions and store hours are posted on their web site , www.sportssourceonline.com
PARENT ACTION ITEM:
You must visit the Sports Sports store to have your child properly sized for their uniform. This MUST occur prior to February 22nd, as our ordering process requires sizing be performed early. You will be contacted if you do not have your child sized before that deadline. If you miss the sizing deadline you run the risk of receiving a uniform that does not fit your child.
