2010 Spring Training at Lakeville North High School

When:                    8 Sundays – Feb 21st – Feb 28th – Mar 7th – Mar 14th – Mar 21st – Mar 28th – Apr 11th – Apr 18th

 

3:00-4:30 = 14/15 Yr Olds

4:30-6:00 = 12/13 Yr Olds

6:00-7:30 = 9-11 Yr Olds

What is Spring Training?:

Progressive program with each week building upon the previous week’s work.  Focused on adjustments and helping players learn to coach themselves in a practice environment.

                                                                                                                                        

Throwing – Hitting – Bunting – Base Running – Infield – Outfield – Mental Game

 

Structure of 1.5 Hour Program with Pitch 2 Pitch:

 

Warm Up & Stretch

Long Toss & Throwing Fundamentals (arm care and strength)

Offensive Work (tees, toss, flips, bunting, situational, mechanics, plan at plate)

Defensive Work (cuts & relays, double plays, bunt plays, double plays)

Team Challenge (work on lessons from the day in team-centered, competitive environment)

Wrap Up – mental game, preparation, things to do at home to improve

 

Why: Instruction-based progressive program with 6:1 player to instructor ratio in a practice format focused on adjustments, competition, getting better, and preparing for the upcoming season while your competition is not.

 

Cost (per player): $185 for the 8 week program or $30 per session if individual week sign up

 

Who is Pitch 2 Pitch:

 

Knowledge and experience from 120 instructors, 16 colleges & universities, 14 major league organizations.

 

Pitch 2 Pitch is working build a program in Lakeville from the youth through high school with a consistent message on the fundamentals and adjustments of the game.

 

We are from the local areas and want to provide opportunities we didn't have growing up - access to those that have played at the high levels and can teach what they have learned.

 

**We encourage parents and coaches to attend to see and hear what we teach as we are a resource for your community and have to be able to hand-off to the coaches for the season so the players don’t miss a beat.

Pitching, Catching, & Hitting Practices at Burnsville Fieldhouse with Pitch 2 Pitch
 
March 7 - March 14 - March 20 - March 28 - April 11 - April 18 - April 25
 
This is a 7 week program that will cover something different each week but still have the core fundamentals of pitching, catching and hitting for each age level.  8:1 instructor to player ratio.  Team-style practice vs. stations and drills.

  • Mental game - reading hitters, situational pitching, adjustments in-game and post-game

  • Mechanics (controlled body, quick hands - adjusting to the ball)
